In testing I can run the old midway mission (the one that froze) for a full 3 hours without any problems with the 1Gb and 500mb version (I have not tested the 256mb version yet but it would improve performance anyway ovr the stock one (I doubt even lewiLewi has such an old PC that he would need to use this one !!! ).

The integral GC options in these are a new development but it makes these the most advanced option to date.

The 512mb version is my favourite option as its actually at a size where ANYONE could run it so its an actual 'patch' or 'hotfix' option for everybody if testing goes well.
(a lot of people really cannot do much more than just click an installer button without help...and I must consider everybody.)

I would recommend just dropping into your il2 installation at first...if your game boots and runs with no problems and there is no net depreciation in performance...then also add the new exe into jsgmemods/ Hsfx history mod replacing your current one.

If it doesn't disable Hsfx history mod with JSGME and re-apply and you will just wipe out the new one and revert to the original again.

No problems with CRT with this...its not part of it !
